New member to the NIAS Management Team
NIAS is proud to announce that Steven R. Staubley, MBA, ARM, AIC, has joined our management team. Steven brings with him over 14 years of workers’ compensation auditing and systems development knowledge.
Prior to coming to NIAS, he was Regional Director for AmComp where he managed and monitored the premium audit process, accounting, performed budgetary expense analyses and assisted in the development and communication of goals for the department.
Steven accumulated most of his workers’ compensation knowledge over 11 years as a Senior Risk Analyst at National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI). He was responsible for creating and managing comprehensive database housing national standardization of insurance payment and reserve transactions for use by actuarial and regulatory end-users. He developed and improved processes of analyzing the accuracy of the data received, researched vendor and carrier medical cost control initiatives, developed, coordinated and supervised claims and operational performance audits of servicing carriers for the National Workers Compensation Reinsurance Pool, Independent Bureaus and self-insured accounts. Steven began his insurance career with Aetna Casualty & Surety as a Senior Claims Representative, responsible for investigation, case management and resolution of complex workers’ compensation claims.
Steven has numerous credentials exemplifying his educational knowledge. He received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Nova Southeastern University; an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation; a Bachelor of Science, Risk Management/Insurance and Real Estate Degrees from Florida State University and an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation.
